Water Fufu

Water fufu is mostly consumed with eru or okra. It is a bit complicated to produce and it is made mostly with white cassava. Water fufu is gotten by steeping cassava in water for at least three days. When it is soft enough, it is thoroughly washed, grind and tied in paper bags and sold at between FCFA 200 and FCFA 250 depending on the availability of cassava. The food that was onetime eaten only by indigenes of the South West Region is gradually becoming a national staple meal served in restaurants, hotels and conspicuous during events.
