Cameroon’s tax and customs office has reported a total revenue of FCFA 1,360.2 billion during the first nine months in 2018, the Finance Ministry (MINFI) said. Figures are up from FCFA 82.9 billion +6.5per cent compared to the same period in 2017. According to the ministry, the increase is motivated by the Value Added Tax (VAT) whose collected volume grew by FCFA 30 billion compared to 2017, against FCFA 12.9 billion for individual income tax, and FCFA 12 billion for non-oil corporate tax.
