The price of tomatoes has started to drop after the measures taken by the government to check the spread of corona virus. On the 18th of March when the measures went applicable, a basket of tomatoes that was sold at between FCFA 2,500 and FCFA 4,000 depending on the quality, sold at between FCFA 6,500 and FCFA 9,500 in the Douala food market known as the Sandaga Market. At press time, the situation is getting better as it is now sold between FCFA 3,000 and FCFA 5,000 in the same market.
