Suppositories made with cocoa butter are said to be the most expensive in the US
Away from inscribing their mark in the cosmetics and agro industry, Cameroonians are also staging a powerful entry in the pharmaceutical sector. Using natural products, the local pharmacopeia is becoming more interesting as a lot of studies have been carried out by daring Cameroonians and inventing new products. The latest product that has been designed for both men and women’s health by Pronature is suppositories. According to the CEO of Pronature, Mathurin Youmssi, while carrying out some research he discovered that most suppositories on the market used a mix of gelatine and glycerine as carrier. Although the ingredients offer very stable environment to formulate suppositories, he said some people who know gelatine is derived from pig may be reluctant to use it in their intimate parts.
