At least five conferences have been programmed on varied topics around the general theme of the 8th edition of PROMOTE.
T he Yaounde Conference Centre is not only vibrating to the rhythm of brisk business as exhibitors sell their products and services to thousands of visitors who throng the arena, but also serves as a veritable venue for experience and knowledge sharing through thematic conferences and B2B meetings. As it is usually the case, the International Exhibition for Enterprises, SMEs and Partnerships (PROMOTE) is characterized by salient conference debate topics selected according to the event’s theme. This year, with the theme “The Industrialization of Africa, a Key to the Emergence of the Continent,” conference themes are revolving around the general theme. According to the programme of the event which started on February 19, at least five conferences are on the menu before the end of the international trade fair on February 27. From the programme, the first thematic topic programmed on Tuesday February 22, focused on the “Role of Incentives within the framework of attracting Foreign Direct Investments in the Industrialization of Africa.” This is coming at a time when Cameroon has rolled out several inducement measures to attract investment for its industrialization drive. The Investment Promotion Agency is the flagship structure for the purpose, reason it’s General Manager, Angeline Minja was one of the speakers at the opening ceremony. “The Planning Tools for Industrialization Strategies” will this Wednesday 23 February be at the centre of debates during the second thematic conference with David Wounfack as the main speaker while Thursday February 24 conference will have as focus “Technological and Financial Alternative Solutions for Start-ups and SMEs in Cameroon.” Here, the expert Albert Legrand Matha will certainly...
