T he Mayor of Ekondo Titi Council, Utam Margaret Ndiba, has handed a consignment of materials comprising Cassava grinding machines, a press and farm inputs worth FCFA 10 million to some common Initiative Groups (CIGs) and farmers in the municipality. Mayor Utam Margaret handed the machines and inputs on Thursday November 7, 2024 in Ekondo Titi. The four beneficiary Common Initiative Groups include Kitta Farmers Group, Masore United Farmers’ cooperative and Melimo farmers’ Cooperative Union Ngolo Metoko. The largesse was extended to the farmers who took home two wheelbarrows, three machetes, one spraying machine, a dig axe and three hoes each. To enable them take the material to their communities, the Mayor also doled out cash to cover their transport fare. Speaking during the event, Mayor Utam Margaret enjoined the beneficiaries to make judicious use of what has been given to them. «Don’t go and sell what has been given to you. Make proper use of it», she cautioned.
