The first-ever edition of the festival of beer called “FestiBière” and organized by Boissons du Cameroun; SABC pulled a cheerful crowd at the Bepanda Onmisport Stadium in Douala from December 13-15. For three days, adults from the age of 21 savoured various brands including new brands that are yet to be released on the market. They enjoyed “happy hour” for two hours daily; drinking free beer and playing interesting games in a funfair. Other activities that took place during the beer festival included beer tasting, beer competition, beer-making, culinary discovery, and musical concerts with local musicians including Bad Nova, Dina Bell, Krys M, and Kameni among others. Earlier during a press conference, the Beer Segment Manager, Yves Christian Dikongo disclosed that the festival is a way to thank their customers for the good times passed together throughout the year. He also made known that SABC wants to create a strong bond with its consumers, build customer loyalty, highlight the various brands, demonstrate their knowhow, present innovations to consumers, and strengthen SABC’s leadership. He added that the beer festival will become a culture to entertain their customers yearly. The festival had 10 stands for different brands that entertained their customers with various activities.
