Sanlam and Allianz: Fusion Made Public

The merger which will be of great benefit to clients was announced during a press conference in Doua

The fusion of two insurance companies; Sanlam and Allianz to SanlamAllianz, was made public during a press conference in Douala on December 13. During the press conference, the two top officials of the insurance company; Olivier Malatre, CEO of SanlamAllianz Cameroun Assurances, and Laya Sidibe, CEO of Sanlam-Allianz Cameroun Assurances Vie reiterated their engagement to better respond to the needs of different markets. “The importance of this joint venture lies in developing solutions tailored to African realities,” the CEO of SanlamAllianz Cameroun Assurance, Olivier Malatre disclosed. By joining forces, he intimated that their combined experience and business expertise, through innovation, will enable them to design and provide innovative insurance solutions and services to meet their customers’ specific needs.
