The 2nd edition of the International Trade Fair for Professionals in Table Art (SIMAT), has ended in Douala with the population sensitised and educated on the professions surrounding table art which comprise table setting, table decoration, and gastronomy. Speaking during the International Trade Fair that permitted visitors to savour Indian gastronomy, the Chief Executive Officer of Business Class Events, Sarah Allison Moukouri, disclosed that Table Art are jobs related to gastronomy, agro-industry, hospitality sector, wine, and champagne sector. “How to present a buffet, how to eat, how to serve, how to receive and welcome people, are all part of table art,” she added. She also disclosed that the Table Art sector is huge and contributes greatly to attracting tourists to the country as well as participating actively in the development of the local economy. “Clients have become more curious and sensitive to the quality of welcome and dishes and other services they get from Table Art so we have to adapt to their expectations while proposing a great service to them. It is the more reason we want to accompany enterprises and institutions to offer them training and improve their visibility,” she explained. The Matron of the 2nd edition of the International Trade Fair for Professionals in Table Art, Angelique Touenguene expressed her satisfaction and disclosed that SIMAT is a place to share experiences and network.
