Sustainable Cocoa Production: AMS, Management Recognized For Supporting Over 15,000 Framers

With over 100,000 tons of certified cocoa exported and more than FCFA 3.5 billion paid to farmers as

Agroproduce Management Services (AMS) Ltd is a sustainable business involved in cocoa certification and exports. The Tiko based company is a subsidiary to the Dutch giant cocoa trader, Ecom/Theobroma. In the last 12 years, AMS has grown from 400 farmers to over 10,000, paid over FCFA 3.5 billion as bonuses to farmers, exported over 100,000 tons of certified cocoa beans, and trained over 15 000 cocoa farmers on good agricultural, social and environmental practices. It has distributed over 1.5 million free cocoa seedlings, provided chemicals worth billions of FCFA to farmers, donated boreholes and benches to communities and schools, constructed many farmer development centers and provided employment to hundreds of Cameroonians. With its standing achievements in the agricultural sector and contribution towards the livelihood of cocoa farmers in Cameroon, AMS Ltd emerged as best leader in sustainable cocoa production among other cocoa companies. Etake Divine Ngaaje, Country Manager of AMS Ltd, was also bestowed with an award for excellence managerial expertise and stewardship in cocoa sector. This was in The Voice Media Group award that took place in Yaounde on August 5, 2023. The institution works with cocoa farmers in Fako, Meme, Haut Sanaga, Sanaga Maritime, Mbam-et-Inoubou, Mbam-etKim, Nyong-et- Kelle, Nyong-etMfoumou, Mefou-et- Afamba, Lekie and Nkam divisions.
